Sing Too Much

My daddy once told me

Just sing a simple song

Find an idea

And sing what you feel

But demand that we sing along

And we will all join you

As long as we feel it too

Cause when voices conspire

to become a choir

Then that’s when we know it’s true

So what if I sing too much

I’d rather that then not sing enough

If I didn’t sing this much

Then life would be a bore

My daddy’s a veteran

Of the harmonic war

And like bloody hounds

They fought for their sounds

But forgot what it all was for

Have I become just like them

Am I guilty of the same crimes

Well when push comes to shove

I look to above

For the reason behind these times

So what if we sing too much

We’d rather that then not sing enough

If we didn’t sing this much

Then life would be a bore
